Natürliches Rita
An intimate photo essay exploring Iri’s mother's body as it coincides with nature — both in its flourishing beauty and the in the passage of time — creating a powerful narrative about resilience, transformation, and the sacredness of aging. The connection between her physical being and the natural world brings forth rich textures and emotions… and also challenges societal perceptions of aging, especially for women. There’s something profoundly poetic about capturing the traces of time in her skin, hair, and bones, while mirroring the cycles of life itself. By pairing images of bloom and decay with her human topography, can we separate emotional attachment and judgement from natural order?
